PAGEANT SCORING

INTERVIEW (25% OF SCORE) - TWO (2) MINUTE INTERVIEW WITH EACH OF OUR FIVE (5) JUDGES - TOTAL INTERVIEW LENGTH IS 10 MINUTES

TALENT (25% OF SCORE) - LENGTH OF TALENT IS TWO (2) MINUTES OR LESS. TALENT CAN INCLUDE DANCING, SINGING, INSTRUMENTAL PRESENTATIONS, MONOLOGUES, ETC. DUPLICATION OF BACKGROUND MUSIC USED IN COMPETITION CANNOT BE DUPLICATED. THEREFORE CONTESTANTS SUBMITTING THEIR APPLICATIONS, INDICATING THEIR SONG CHOICE, AND ENTRY FEES EARLIEST WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO USE THE MUSIC AND LATER CONTESTANTS WILL HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER SELECTION.

FORMAL WEAR (25% OF SCORE) - THE FORMAL WEAR CAN BE EITHER A LONG DRESS OR GOWN

SPORTSWEAR (25% OF SCORE) - MODEL CLOTHES FROM FAVORITE ACTIVITY - DANCE, CHEERING, SOCCER, BASKETBALL, ETC.

OTHER INFORMATION

 1.  We will begin the day with a morning group parent meeting. (Time To Be Determined, based on the number of contestants) This will be to review the rules, the do’s and don’ts of the day, and to answer any additional questions.

 2. The contestants will take part in a rehearsal while parents are in the meeting.

 3. following the Rehearsal contestants will have one (1) hour to prepare for the interview competition.

 4. Following interview there will be a break for food and time to prepare for the pageant.

5. The pageant will move very quickly - there is not much time to change hairstyles, etc.  We remind you that this is a very natural pageant and only very minimal makeup will be acceptable.  These are young girls and we want to make sure they look like themselves. 

 6. No flippers, spray tans, wigs, extensions, or false eyelashes will be permitted

 7. Other awards and prizes will be given in different areas of competition.

8. Like the Miss America, Miss Pennsylvania, and Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen Pageants, score sheets and scores will not be released.

 9. The ruling of the judges is final.
